About

The Office of Sustainability is recruiting volunteers to assist with set-up and operations of our Reuse Market on Tuesday, August 22.

The purpose of the Reuse Market is to encourage a circular economy of residence hall essentials in the university community. Organized for the first time this August, the Reuse Market is a temporary free store that provides dorm essentials to students at no charge sourced from donations received during Green Move-Out; GW’s sustainable move-out initiative to collect household goods, clothing, and non-perishable food at the end of the spring semester

Depending on the time, volunteer shifts may entail setting up and organizing market inventory, putting up signage, greeting student shoppers, managing crowds, or breaking down tables and packing up materials. All volunteer shifts will begin in University Yard.
As a thank you for your time commitment, volunteers will gain exclusive early access to Reuse Market inventory!
Contact Colin O'Brien (colinobrien@gwu.edu) with the Office of Sustainability for questions or additional information.
