I am a disabled Air Force veteran, Director of Racial and Ethnic Justice at The George Washington University, anti-racist womanist, women veterans advocate, and a slavery historian. I am also the award-winning, self published Author of Being a Wife Just Got Real, Things I Wish I Knew Before I Said, “I Do”, You Need it, I Got It!: Conversations with Global Entrepreneurs on Growing Your Audience, Visibility & Influence and Today’s History Makers: 21st Century African American Female Entrepreneurs.
My husband and I founded Forever Free Books in 2014 to reduce the 30 million word gap between low income children and their wealthy counterparts. We delivered free books and conduct story time to low-income children in their communities. Sadly, we closed our nonprofit in 2020 due to health reasons.
