I really enjoyed learning about the AFRH and how I can one day volunteer there. I’ve been looking for ways to become connected with the DC community and volunteer and this seems like the perfect place.
I had a really nice time learning about how I can get involved at GW with organizations like the Grow garden and ensure that we are doing our part to save our environment. It was great to see how Casey Trees has turned environmental activism into real policies that are actively making DC and our country better.
I really enjoyed this service project. The idea of calling seniors and having conversations with them to see how they are doing in this historical time was great. However, the actual action did not work out completely. Some of the seniors on my list didn’t know about the call and half of them didn’t answer because they didn’t recognize my phone number. I hope that next time, the seniors are more aware of the situation.
