I created face masks for people in need in my community, including hospitals, grocery store workers, and volunteers at homeless shelters.
I worked at the Joyful Market at Simon Elementary on Friday March 6 from 2:15-6:15pm. I helped to make 100 food bags and then passed them out to children and parents.
I worked a food tidy-up shift on Wednesday, March 4 from 2:30-4:30pm. I helped clean all of the dishes that had been used previously at Martha's Table's kitchen.
I volunteered on Monday, March 2nd from 10:00-12:30pm at Martha's Table in their kitchen. With the rest of my group, we helped prepare 200 meals that would be distributed to people later in the day. We learned how to cook and clean in a large scale industrial kitchen, and our site leader Mark also told us about various experiences he's had while working at Martha's Table. The experience was very fun and rewarding, as it was great to be able to cook so many meals for people to eat.
