We did some interactive coding exercise and some solar prints. Kids was introduced to basic coding steps as well as Linux system

We built some small and robots. I think that was the best session so far because it was combination of both art and engineering. Students were really engaged and applied both artistic talents and engineering concepts that were learned previously in the class.
We introduced students to the Ohm's Law and built different circuits to demonstrate actual application of physics in real life.
We had an introduction to different circuit components as well as terms such as patience, teamwork, persistence and respect. We emphasized those concepts during their teamwork assignment. We also tried having roles in the classroom,such as photographer (takes pictures of surrounding), reporter (takes attendance), facility manager (helps to pass materials out) and sustainability manager (helps with cleaning).
Had a great time meeting with students and introducing them to what this class is going to be about.
