This was my second semester as a CEC consultant. We were partnered with a new DC-based organization, the DC History Center (DCHC). DCHC's mission is to be the one-stop-shop for all DC history resources, information, and services. Through my work with them I examined my own role as a student at GW living in DC these past four years and the importance of acknowledge the history of the city in which one lives. I feel confident that the services we provided DCHC will contribute to their long-term growth and aid them as they carry out their mission, therefore positively impacting the DC community.

This semester was my first experience in consulting. Working with our client organization, TMF, I felt a deeper connection to my DC community. The services we provided will support TMF in their long term operations as they continue to serve DC youth. I improved my skills in group work, time management, and technical skills such as Excel. Through the creation of various deliverables such as our Communications Guide, I learned business skills that I will apply to my future career.
