In this activity we chopped squashes for preparation for later cooking. In doing so we managed preparing large amounts of food.
At this service event I was mainly helping by bringing food packages from different areas and combining them in single bags or boxes to be used in cooking later. In doing so, I learned a little more about meal preparation and storage.
This was my first day at DC Central Kitchen. In working at the kitchen I learned how cooking in a large group works, with everyone making space for each others' mutual activity. I worked copping vegetables and meats, as well as preparing apple sauce mixtures.
