This was my first time with Miriam’s kitchen and I really enjoyed my time there. I look forward to going back again!
I really enjoy coming to Martha’s Table!
I had never helped out in a garden before so this was really exciting! I also really enjoyed learning about how Foodprints helps out at DC schools.
It was really fun and interesting to tweak the recipes to try to be as inclusive and fun as possible!
I had previously done service here pre-covid so it was nice to come back! I aided in packaging food bags and handing them out.
For my service I was aiding my brother in making sandwiches for kids whose schools closed due to COVID-19. I did my service at my brothers store, Tortorice's, an Italian sandwich shop. I was there multiple days a week for around 2-4 hours a day. 20 hours is an estimate as I was not counting the hours until I learned they would count towards the service component for class. I continue to help him with take out orders.
