Presented food justice presentation to Ben's English class. After the video presentation, we were able to host a Q&A session regarding the college experience. Service commitment hours include presentation time as well as prep-time before the start of class.
Hosted a college Q&A session with ARISE students over Zoom. Presented about picking a college major and answered questions regarding my college experience. Service commitment hours include prep-time prior to the session as well as the actual presentation itself.
Worked with my group to create a video presentation to present to the ARISE students. Service commitment includes time from creating the presentation with all the research information we gathered, recording the video/audio component, and finalizing as well as rehearsing the presentation prior to classes.
Worked on developing a lesson plan for service presentation regarding food deserts. Focused on researching our service topic by reading various articles, watching a documentary, and listening to a podcast to get an in-depth overview of the information. After researching, a lesson plan and description of the topic were formally written up to help with the creation of the final presentation.
Had a productive planning session with my group to develop an educational presentation for ARISE students regarding food justice and food deserts.
