Zecheng Hu

Our group volunteered at a local rooftop community garden located near Dupont Circle. The garden is at the rooftop of an apartment building. It produces a variety of fruits and vegetables. The produce is donated to Dc-based food pantries. We worked as volunteers to lanting new seeds, plucking weeds, and clean the garden space.

Free and open to the public, our Lunar New Year celebration will ring in the Year of the Rat. Visitors can discover the richness of arts and culture from across Asia, and learn how the New Year is celebrated in China, Korea, and Mongolia. As a volunteer, my main role is to ensure visitors feel welcome and have positive experiences while in the museums. I helped people finding locations inside the museum and answer whatever questions they have about the museum.
