This was a unique role, but one that I truly enjoyed. Brianna (a fellow civic house volunteer who is skilled at graphic design) and I have been cooperating with LFFP (and particularly Bria) in order to help revamp the organization's website. The time I got to spend on this project has included analyzing various forms of web-development (e.g. code from scratch, web templates like WiX, etc.), going over the various design and organizational objectives with LFFP staff, and looking closely at the strengths and points for improvement of the current website.
It was an absolute privilege to learn and serve with experienced administrators and advocates like Caity and MJ. I continued to build my relationship with the students and got to view part of the peace circle that empowers students across a variety of age ranges to effectively deal with the various emotional ups-and-downs of the day in a productive and self-caring manner.
Phenomenal to work with Bria, Caity, MJ, and other volunteers. Especially nice to hear from Georgetown med school students who gave lessons to the students on self-care during my first day there.
