For service hours today I was able to attend presentations and offer feedback. It felt cool to be on a panel and see the hard work that these students have done. I really enjoyed Angelo's presentation and how he highlighted health disparities in the Bay Area.
This was a great way to end the semester. I had one person in my breakout room today which was nice because it was one on one so it was more focused. At the end of class, it was nice that the students appreciate the GW interns and we talked about their final presentation rubric.
Today during breakout rooms I filled out the participation tracker for my students. They both did a good job presenting their ideas. They both agreed that it would be smart to give food to those who are homeless and in need to help combat health disparities. I also talked to them about food deserts and why they are so important to understand
This was supposed to be a presentation from 6-7 on the PowerPoint we worked on. No students From arise showed up after 10 min so we were allowed to leave. Our TA Moriah said we can still log the hour since we worked on the ppt
Today was presentation day. We played our presentation and then went over the worksheet with the students. I was most happy to see that a lot of them were engaged and really into what we were talking about. I think this is because nutrition labels and food is really important so it's worth paying attention to
This was the day before our presentation in class. I met up with my group just to talk about the presentation and what our next steps were going to be so overall this was a pretty short meeting
Today my group met up and worked on our presentation and worksheet. we did a voiceover for the slides and also came up with good questions in my opinion. I'm looking forward to presenting on Tuesday
Today from 7-9 me and my peers from gw met up to work on presentation prep. We worked on the powerpoint and tried to figure out how to do the voice over. Going forward, we will make the worksheet and continue to fix the powerpoint
Today in class we talked about our final project. The students also did a good job reading today. Going forward, i'm excited to work on this project and collaborate. After class we talked about how class was and if there were any concerns or questions. Reading about the final project today was helpful
During this class, my team was finishing up the Community Health Needs Assessment. My students were all in different spots so I made sure to help them out with whatever they were working on. After class, my gw peers and I discussed/debriefed to see how we felt.
