Gave the presentation to Ben’s English class, in which we presented our video and had a Q&A session regarding food justice as well as college life. Hours also include prep time done before-hand.
Prepared for my presentation for college week, including examples and questions to ask students. Gave a presentation on internships and possible ways to get exposed into the work field.
Reconvened with my group to finalize our presentation, share our findings, and rehearsed.
Researched further on my individual part having to do with the roots and underlying causes of food deserts. Was able to construct a lesson plan and record myself for the group presentation. This research also went toward a formal report describing our project.
Had a presentation meeting with Group 3 to plan and compose our presentation on food justice and food deserts for ARISE’s English class. Hours also include the research done beforehand.
Had a productive planning and research session with my group for an anticipated presentation on food deserts and food justice. We will be tying in nutrition into its intersection with structural barriers due to race, socioeconomic background, and geographical region.
Served 11am-3pm shift.
