I attended a GWWIB GBM that talked about several nonprofits, one of which was Women for Women where we then wrote encouraging notes to the women in the program.

I had a great time working with Chef Cheryl. She really emphasized the importance of remembering why we were there and was fun and engaging the whole time. I served cereal first then worked in the kitchen doing food prep the rest of the time.
David worked on math facts with me and drew me a $1000 bill, which I have put on my wall.
I had a really fun time this morning-the breakfast shift is definitely different than dinner in that you can interact more with the guests. I was on the milk cart, and then served pancakes. I really enjoyed my time there.
We raised 330$ over the month to support GWDM and the children's miracle network.
I served the dinner. First I pealed and cored pears, then served the main dish at the front of the line before helping to clean up. It was really fun and it was great to talk to the other volunteers.
We talked about sustainable service and how that is defined, how it felt to engage with the community at the mayor meetings, and our Rose, bud, and thorns of the week. It was great to talk with my cohort and get inspired to serve.
