This was the perfect course to apply all of the skills and experience we have gained throughout our time in the HSSJ program. The group project of all group projects! It was such an incredible experience to be able to grant funding to local nonprofits, especially during these difficult times.
We had a bit of a miscommunication at first: our group went to the elementary school for the meeting, while Joseph went to GW's campus at the same time. Despite the confusion at first, we managed to make it back to campus to meet him for our orientation meeting. We discussed ideas for our semester-long project and are working now on finding another meeting time to discuss our next steps.
