I have never been to Rock Creek Park. It was great working with other staff and students towards a single goal. We were able to clean up a large amount of trash and even found a car battery, cash register, and a few other miscellaneous items!
I enjoyed working with Free Minds Book Club and getting to find a shared connection with incarcerated youth! I also liked hearing about how an individual's identity connects with service. Note: I completed a logistics shift prior to serving
I helped two students edit their senior theses. It was fun to hear what they are interested in and help them reflect on potential changes, edits, and ways to improve their work!
