    I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and encourage other GW students to intern with the Arlington County Police Department as well. It is evident that the department is committed to creating a safer environment for individuals who live, work, and visit the county. Additionally, the work I did was substantive rather than clerical, which allowed me to learn a great deal about the inner workings of the criminal justice system.
