I was given the opportunity to work with a group of amazing individuals to prepare a meal
I wore a banana costume and greeted kids as well as made bags and gave them to the kids
I was able to work in the kitchen and chop vegetables in preparation for meals.
I was given the opportunity to play squash with and engage with a group of kids from the urban squash program. Being able to play and get to know these kids was very fun!
I was able to plant tulips with the view of the Washington Monument in order to bring life to the park that we were working on!
I was able to distribute items like soap, vitamins, shampoo and conditioner alongside with the opportunity to speak to different individuals
I was able to use the information I learned in class to educate individuals passing through when they would ask me for health-related iteams.
Relay for life is a community-based fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. I attended and participated in the event.
Making valentines day cards for hospitalised kids
