I worked at the ODYD booth during the AUSA annual DC convention where I was responsible for spreading information about the non-profit. The hopes was to expand the non-profit's outreach and look for potential donors. I was even given the opportunity to pitch the company's message to the Secretary of the Army Doc. Mark T. Esper and his wife.
I donated food the the GW Lax team's food drive for families in need.
I was the assistant coach for my little brother's youth football team. I taught the kids the ins-and-outs of the game as well how to play it safely. I had an impact on Saturday game days where I was the defensive coordinator and got the kids in the right positions to hopefully win the game. I worked with the kids on defensive schemes and other areas that the coach needed help with. Although the team was winless throughout the regular season, the kids managed to pull off a first round upset in the playoffs, capturing that elusive win and leading to me cheering like a crazed fan on the sidelines. It was one of the coolest moments I have had working with youth sports.
