I enjoyed my time with my two students. They were bright youths with full positive energy. It was delightful to see a lot of people showing up and tutoring. I am happy to come back and contribute more to the community.
We helped set up taligate games and prepare food at Lerner Center before the homecoming game. Although we skipped brunch that morning, it was great to support the Squash Team and the Basketball Team.
We were helping low-income families transport furnitures to their homes. Surrounded by a lot of passionate young people, the atmosphere was superb. Most of furnitures were donated by others, so when those families received new furnitures they were really happy and grateful. I love seeing people get something that they wish for and I definitely would help people who are in need of basic help.
Even though the weather was terrible, we still made the most out of it. Very fun to find trash in the woods with a bunch of GW athletes. We went through bushes, swamps and found tons of plastic bottles. It really pissed me off that there were so many plastics because they are NOT BIODEGRADABLE. Anyway, thrilled to be a part of work force and let's SAVE THE PLANET.
