It was very fulfilling to help the residents of St. Mary's keep their apartments clean knowing that they are unable to do these tasks for themselves.
This was my first time volunteering with the NAS Children's Holiday Party and it was so much fun! It was great being able to help the staff enjoy their holiday party with their children.
Moved canned goods and vegetables out onto tables and organized them. Passed out these foods to customers of the Foggy Bottom Food Pantry and helped them bag their groceries. Helped to clean up afterwards.
Gobblefest: Participated on a team, helped pass out plates of food, purchased some food, and more to raise money to donate to St. Jude.
Tabled for Gobblefest to inform people of what Gobblefest is, how it raises money for St. Jude, and why they should attend.
Prepared egg cups for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House to eat
Passed out numbers and shirts to runners, told runners where to turn on their laps, and organized the caramel apples and other snacks that were passed out to runners at the finish line.
Bread for the City has a massive inventory and variety of items to give to those in need in the DC community.
Love St. Mary's! BINGO night is always a hit.
I love knowing that something as simple as helping the seniors that live in St. Mary's Court clean up their apartments can make them so happy. I like to think of how good it feels when I clean up my room after a long week and then realizing that the seniors don't the mobility to do something like that. Cleaning is such a simple task that we take for granted and it's an honor to do what I can to make those in the elderly community feel good.
Engaged in service with DC area community partners through Epsilon Sigma Alpha
One of my favorite services! It's so fun seeing the member's of St. Mary's get so excited to see the ESA volunteers!
Having the chance to bring food to the homeless community gives its volunteers to interact with them.
One of my favorite services I have ever done. Working with and for the elderly community is so incredibly humbling and inspiring.
So glad GW has a food pantry! It felt good volunteering there knowing it was going to help the GW community.
First time volunteering for the Library of Congress and it was a ton of fun! They made sure that all of the volunteers felt comfortable and were enjoying themselves as well.
