It was a really cool service event because we cut fruit for for their new healthy eating plan that makes fruit cheaper than the unhealthy snacks that students often gravitate towards.

I completed this service as a sister of Epsilon Sigma Alpha. This food pantry is held twice a month in the United Church to provide food to low-income families and singletons in Foggy Bottom and larger DC area. I really enjoy interacting with the clients and working to create connections with people who truly are my neighbors but I may not get to interact with as much as a student at GW.

This is one of those services where not only are you serving but you are also getting so much from doing so, dog therapy at the end of the school year is always a must.
