I helped prepare the turkeys and bread for the Harvest Dinner this weekend. This service marks the completion of all my service hours. I really enjoyed the experience and am happy I participated.

We worked at a free market where we gave out healthy groceries to those who needed it.
I went to Martha's table for morning food preparation and cut sweet potatoes and potatoes with many volunteers.
Went to their kitchen to prepare (raw) turkeys. Definitely dont think ill be eating turkey for thanksgiving but thats ok :-]. Im willing to accept an extra hour out of pity
This morning I volunteered in the Martha's Table kitchen in Anacostia preparing cheeseburgers and grilled vegetables for everyone's lunch.
Help prepare bags for people who came for groceries and food. Helped cook pasta dish with carrots and shallots, etc and interacted and played with the kids.
I volunteered at the Joyful Market at Center City PCS. I helped assemble bags of groceries for the students and gave out bags to students at dismissal. It was a really awesome experience and I am so glad this program exists!
For Center City PCS's Joyful Market, I helped put together the bags of fresh produce, distributed them to students, and helped to break down the produce boxes and clean up the auditorium once it was finished.
This was my first time volunteering for Martha’s Table. The place is well-organized and the people there are kind and helpful. This definitely won’t be my last time there.
