Tutoring with Higher Achievement Ward 6
This time around, I was able to help set up a game of Bingo with some of the dependent residents.
Although there was no tutoring program, I helped FLOC staff prepare for their event that started at 12 pm today.
I taught my third and final lesson at DC Prep. Our lesson plan is a little bit challenging for them but I learned to quickly react and change the plan. I am thankful for my partner who is always so calm and thoughtful. It has been a great experience of teaching.
Helping with mail is pretty easy now, I know what to do and I enjoy doing it.
My team and I attended Takoma Education Campus to teach the students The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza. I made a post for our group meeting time where students were given food items and had to categorize them in their food groups.
Helped with Community Clay and Eat Good in the Neighborhood:)
The market was well organized and a great environment amongst the volunteers. I love volunteering for organizations that help children and that increase access to food for those in need so combining those two things for Joyful Market was a wonderful experience.
