Assisting seniors locally is an integral part of being members of the communities in which we live. I had a great experience assisting a member of FBWE Village with grocery shopping and walking around her neighborhood.
Clothing swap two. This clothing swap was less busy than yesterday, likely because of the nice weather keeping people outside. This made the event a little less fun as we were not interacting with as many people. However, it was still great when people came in and we got to talk to them about sustainability and help them pick out new clothing!
I did personal research on hurricane maria and Fema.
The swap was quieter today but we still had a good turn out. It was great to talk to people about our project and to promote our next swap happening in April. We also collected a good amount of data about the clothes that were being swapped and donated.
Today went well despite the fact that we had less participants than yesterday. While we had less people come through our space, we still had a significant amount of clothing brought in for donation. Additionally, we were still able to have meaningful conversations with them regarding our project and the importance of a sustainable approach to post-consumer textile waste. We were able to effectively track each piece of clothing that came in and we're excited to tell a story behind our findings.
