DESCRIPTION AND MISSION
Services for Independent Living assists individuals with disabilities, seniors, and veterans. Our staff is dedicated to helping individuals achieve personal goals to maximize their independence through innovation, collaboration, and coordination in the community. SIL’s vision is to become a leader in changing society’s perception of disability, creating an inclusive community that promotes equality, and self-determination, and maximizing the individual’s independence. SIL does this by focusing on four core services that encourage personal independence; Advocacy, Independent Living Skills Training, Information and Referral, and Peer Support. SIL works with seniors with low income in the community to improve quality of life, reduce social isolation, maximize food security, and provide access to resources. We also offer internships that can be tailored to the student's needs or interests.
ACTIVITIES:
SIL offers a variety of opportunities including the following programs: Game Night, Education and Training, and Senior Connect
