Ronald Harmon Brown College Preparatory All-Male High School (RBHS) is a Washington, DC Public School that opened its doors in August of 2016. The college preparatory high school is Washington, DC's only all-male public school. RBHS is a school that provides a student-centered, college preparatory curriculum that develops and enhances young men's character, academic curiosity, and service. Disproportionate rates of graduation, suspension, attendance, student satisfaction, and performance on college readiness exams (such as PARCC and the Advanced Placement exam) all point to the need for a renewed focus on Black and Latino males. To meet this need, RBHS will provide a different academic environment and culture that is developed with young men as the primary focus.
Driven by the pillars of Character, Scholarship, and Service, RBHS seeks to prepare young men of color to be compassionate and courageous and to foster a tenacious community of self-disciplined and academically curious lifelong learners who are tireless servants to their communities.
