About
Sigma Kappa Sorority was founded in 1874 by five women attending Colby College, the first college in New England to admit women on an equal basis with men, in Waterville, Maine. Our sorority was founded with the purpose of providing women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact our communities. Our sisterhood is built upon our four core values: personal growth, friendship, service and loyalty; bound by a promise.
