Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated was founded January 5th, 1911 on the campus of Indiana University at Bloomington, Indiana. The American University Chapter, the Kappa Chi of Kappa Alpha Psi was charted September 12th, 1981. Kappa Chi encompasses American University, Catholic University, Georgetown University, and The George Washington University. The fundamental purpose of Kappa Alpha Psi is achievement. Since it's inception, Kappa Alpha Psi, and Kappa Chi Specifically has been dedicated to service in the community, especially in D.C.
