LabX is a new program of the National Academy of Sciences that aims to empower individuals, groups and communities to use the sciences in order to make decisions related to their lives. Participants in LabX activities, events and programs will come together to investigate, discuss and collaborate on impactful, meaningful issues that are supported by evidence from scientific research.
We’ll have events that take place at physical venues (such as at the National Academy of Sciences building in Washington D.C.), but we’ll also have programs that run online, as well as activities that combine both in-person and virtual elements. Our current flagship program, Extreme Event, is an in-person role-playing game that gives participants a taste of what it takes to build community resilience in the face of disaster. Watch our latest webinar to learn more about the game.
More programs, activities and events will roll out in the upcoming months. Stay up to date by subscribing to our newsletter and by following us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
