Want to make a real impact in the DMV community? Interested in supporting newly arrived refugee and forced migrant families as they settle into the area? Join "Homes Not Borders"! This nonprofit organization helps refugees feel at home by furnishing apartments, organizing household items, and providing support as they navigate life in the U.S. Volunteers help with activities like sorting and organizing donated items, setting up homes with furniture and essentials, packing food boxes, and building relationships with newcomers.  "Homes Not Borders" offers various volunteer opportunities and training.
