About
Join Palouse Conservation District (PCD) to help improve water quality and create habitat along Palouse's streams! Volunteers will have an opportunity to get their hands dirty and give back to the Palouse by planting native trees and shrubs and removing invasive plants at various sites along the Bill Chipman Palouse Trail.
This is a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome to attend!
Be prepared:
- We’ll be out there in rain, snow, or shine
- Volunteers will be walking on uneven terrain in tall grass
- Your shoes and clothes will get dirty!
You will need:
- Long pants (required for safety)
- Closed-toe shoes (required for safety) *Crocs and sandals don’t count!
- Weather-appropriate clothing *Bring extra layers to add or take off - weather can change quickly on the Palouse!
- Water bottle and snacks
- Transportation to and from the site *Carpool if you can! We may travel to another location from the meeting spot.
We will provide:
- Tools
- Gloves (XS, S, M, L, XL)
- Water
- Electrolyte powder
- A small selection of snacks
We recommend that you arrive 10 minutes early to complete forms and waivers. All participants will be asked to complete a COVID-19 health screening before participating.
