Vaccine Sign-Up Support Project

Open Opportunity

As vaccines become more widely available to an older population, many individuals are being challenged by the technology and know-how needed to sign-up for vaccination appointments. The EDCJCC and GW Hillel are partnering to match older adults in the DMV with college-aged students and young alums who can help navigate the registration process. As of 2/8, over 725 seniors have requested assistance - the need is great.

Our greatest volunteer need is for callers who will be paired with seniors, two at a time, to offer support in obtaining an appointment. While we appreciate all offers of support, a reminder that due to the time-sensitive nature of this process, volunteer callers should only step forward if able to be responsive in a timely fashion.
