Thank you for signing up to volunteer at a GW BioBlitz event! These BioBlitzes provide the Office of Sustainability with valuable information about biodiversity on campus and help implement impactful, sustainable practices on campus. This event can count towards community service hours.

This event will take place from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm on Friday, September 4; Friday, September 11; and Friday, September 18. The rain date is Friday, September 25. We ask that volunteers attend at least two BioBlitz sessions.

Please bring your own hand sanitizer and mask. Volunteers will not be able to participate without a mask. Please note that volunteers without GWorld access to campus buildings will not be able to enter GW facilities, so please plan accordingly (bring your own water and snacks, etc.)

Requirement Details
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
  1. Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.

  2. Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
