Virtual Service: #HereForOurHeroes Letter Writing

This service activity will provide participants the opportunity to digitally write a letter to first responders, the National Guard, healthcare workers, and active-duty Military to say thank you for all their work in keeping Americans safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Executive Board members of the First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt Capital Chapter of Silver Wings will lead participants in the writing of the messages, sharing tips on the best letter-writing strategies and advice on how to properly convey our gratitude for their service to our communities and country. The #HereForOurHeroes campaign is made possible by the partnership between Operation Gratitude and Veterans United Home Loans. 

Service will kick off on Saturday, August 29th at 1:00pm with a greeting from GW Silver Wings members. Individuals will work independently on the project before meeting again for reflection on Saturday, September 5th at 1:00pm.
