Workshop: Food Insecurity During COVID-19

Saturday, September 12th, 2020 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm (ET)

About

With the United States classified as still having major challenges to achieving SDG 2: Zero Hunger, we are now facing a new uncertainty. The onset of the pandemic intensified inequities related to access to food and to health food. We will explore the food equity issues that have arisen during Covid and explore the solutions put in place in different jurisdictions. Lastly, we will see how moving school online has affected these issues for students in low income areas/homes and what teachers can do to help.

Sponsored by Tara Scully, Assistant Professor of Biology and Director of Sustainability Minor.
