During Changemaker Week - February 1st- February 7th - we encourage the GW community to integrate the theme of changemaking into existing or new initiatives across disciplines, co-curricular programs, and departments on campus. For example, Dr. Scully, Director of the Sustainability Minor, will be integrating changemaking into her class discussions by hosting a Teach In about solving climate by 2030.
We have so many programs planned! On Thursday, February 6th at 5:30pm Nicole Cardoza, a Forbes 30 under 30 for 2020 and serial social entrepreneur passionate about the reclamation of wellness, will be at the Churchill Library in Gelman discussing the changemaking work she is doing within the systems of wellness and education. On Monday, February 3rd from 11am - 1:30pm we invite you to the Changemaker Showcase in Marvin Center Great Hall to learn about how GW changemakers are creating change in our communities and have a collaborative conversation about other creative ways that we can address social issues in our communities.
If you have a program to add to the Changemaker Week calendar, please submit your event here.
You are invited and we hope you will join us!
