Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. valued social justice, advocacy, community engagement and empowerment, non-violence, diversity, and cross-cultural communication. 

Join us as we discuss his civic leadership and how to get involved in local government. Speakers include Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners and GW Students:

  • Trupti Patel - Commissioner, 2A03 and GW Alumna
  • James Harnett - Commissioner, 2A08 and GW Student
  • Jillian Wolons - GW Student, President, Student Neighborhood Advocacy Corps (SNAC)
  • Detrick Campbell - Commissioner, 2A07
